Join us for WattHack! Our 2-day event where you can rack your brain and work with others to bring your amazing ideas to life with an emphasis on reusing parts from e-waste!

WattHack 2021

22nd - 23rd November 2021​

WattHack is an annual two-day in-person makeathon with an aim for students to work in teams to take E-waste components and create something new.

Industry Night

16th September 2021​

Industry Night was a collaboration with MESS where students could network and hear from a range of well-known companies in the Electrical and Mechanical engineering industries. In 2021, we were joined by CSIRO, Ford, Invetech, DefendTex, and Carbon Revolution.

Pub Night

23rd November 2021​

To celebrate the end of the year, we had our annual pub night at The Clyde Hotel. After a semester of zoom, it was fantastic to meet in person for some drinks. 

Soft Skills Workshop

29th March 2021

We collaborated with MESS to create an interactive workshop with group case studies and interviews by some industry representatives from notable companies in Australia in order to sharpen students' communication skills.

Spaghetti Bridge Building Competition

10th March 2020

Students competed in teams of 3-4 to build the sturdiest, most aesthetically pleasing, and longest bridge all out of SPAGHETTI (and lots of tape!).

SuperHack 2019

30th November - 1st December 2019

SuperHack is an annual high-school engineering hackathon for young women in years 10 and 11. The event aims to encourage STEM-based careers to young women to promote gender diversity in the field.

MUG Fest

9th August 2019

Melbourne University Gaming Festival is the largest and most enjoyable annual festival in Engineering. Organised by 5 student clubs, it is the best way to spend a Friday night with friends and fellow students. 

Arduino 101

13th July 2021

Arduino 101 is one of many workshops run by MUEEC that aims to teach Arduino basics to those who have not come across it before. Head to our YouTube channel to watch the WattHack-specific workshop that we ran in 2021.
